Curriculum Vitae

Born 1944 in Coburg, since 1953 permanently living in Munich.

After finishing school with the German certificate (roughly like high school) an apprenticeship followed in the area of pharmaceutical business and chemical technician.

After the German “Abitur” (higher education entrance qualification) for special talented pupils in Jan. 1971, start of the university studies in biology at the LMU in Munich from 1971 – 1976.

Since 1980 to 1984 scientific occupation at the chair for “Biogeografie” at the university of Bayreuth receiving the PhD: Dr.rer.nat. in plant ecology.

1980 - 2013 working as freelance member of the editorial staff at the nature and wildlife departement of the Bavarian radio and television broadcast.

Special focus of my work are wildlife documentary productions in East Europe (Poland, Czechia, Hungary), in the Arabic Republic Yemen - and in Central America (Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica) and South America (Peru, Venezuela).

I created 36 Nature and wildlife documentary productions for the Bavarian TV, ARD and ARTE, as well as a number of short editions for “DEUTSCHE WELLE”. Also 4 Video editions for TIME-LIFE and WELTBILD (Madagascar, Mexico, Venezuela und Hungary).

The appointment as member of the Jury at the 9. International Sichuan TV Festival for the „Gold Panda“ Award in Chengdu-China 2007 was the highlight of my career in wildlife film productions.
