About the film:
Little is known about the animal world of Venezuela and absolutely nothing is known about the sacred mountains “Gran Sabana“. These sacred mountains, the “Tepuis”, are surrounded by a dense jungle and are a natural wonder. Given the fact that these flat-topped mountains are over a billion (!) years old, they display the last remnants of the prehistoric time, a time in which just horsetails, rosette trees and ferns existed.
The animals in the animal world of the jungle of the flat-topped mountains live a hidden life. It was only after a long and difficult search that researchers were successful in discovering the attractive Cock of the Rocks and in documenting their strange behavior.
Impressive pictures of White-faced Capuchin, South American Coatis, Arrow poison frogs and unknown birds such as the Bearded Bellbird or the Red-legged Honeycreeper can also be seen.
